The Pillowman is the latest production of our thespian chum Keith Reid and this time he’s not only acting but taking on the whole project as part of production company The White Circle. To assist with the production we felt that it was probably best not to take to the stage ourselves but to play to our design strengths. As a result we put together a range of contemporary logos, posters and flyers to assist with the promotion of the production. The play itself is a beautifully dark and aggressive dichotomy of art, freedom and storytelling which we reflected in the designs. The resultant posters and flyers not only display the main details of the production but using elements of the plot itself leave the potential audience with the element of intrigue essential for all great productions.

The Pillowman is the latest production of our thespian chum Keith Reid and this time he is not only acting, but taking on the whole project as part of production company The White Circle. Freckle have assisted with elements of design for the project but this is a definate must see. The award winning play is a beautifully dark and aggressive dichotomy of art, freedom and storytelling, which will undoubtably be potrayed excellently. Regular visitors to the Freckle website may have noticed a slight reduction in news posts over the last few months. Apologies for this! The recent lull has thankfully not been due to a lack of work but based on a large project we have been working on since November with Bolton based organisation, Ultimate Ministries. Over the last few months we have been working closely with the organisation, inputting our design and project management expertise, to assist with the production of The Ultimate Event. The event, which takes place each year at Alton Towers Resort is aimed at an 11-25 target age group and combines a day out in the theme park with an evening concert featuring a host of contemporary Christian bands. This year’s event took place on 8th May 2010 with the thousands of people attending proclaiming it a resounding success. With this year’s event now concluded all things Freckle should be returning towards something that resembles more normality, so please continue to return to our site for the latest news and portfolio updates. Leaflet Design – Hope Church – Edinburgh

Continuing our work for Hope Church in Edinburgh we were asked to put together an A6 flyer, to assist with the promotion of the church’s Easter programme. With times and dates being an essential part of the design it was important that the resultant art work was still produced in a bright, relevant and contemporary style, ideal for the clients target audience (the local community). Focusing primarily on the key elements of each event, including venue, date and time allowed us to create the required space for the design to be impacting . Using images and colours to reflect the spring season and associated Easter celebrations the resultant design proved to be a great success.

Based in Coventry, Customer Research Technology holds a unique place within the market research industry. Their blend of customer satisfaction survey software, consulting, hardware and services provides a range of powerful solutions for the capture of customer satisfaction survey results, patient experience tracking and public consultation feedback. Working with a number of corporate clients including the NHS and Specsavers, CRT approached Freckle to assist with the development of a number of internal and external promotional items. Ranging from business cards to stationary, display banners to client profile leaflets our designs were produced considering CRT’s existing brand and the desire to create, more client friendly, impacting documents. With the use of new imagery, content friendly spacing and clearly defined brand guidelines the resultant work is eye catching, content appropriate and appealing to CRT’s corporate market place.

Job Description

Approached by Ultimate Ministries Limited, Freckle have designed a number of promotional items for The Ultimate Event, a youth event, held each year at Alton Towers Resort, Staffordshire. Including promotional brochures, flyers, banners and a website it was essential that the designs produced were both informative and appropriate for the target market. Working closely with artists and the organisation themselves the designs reflect the ‘Best of British’ theme adopted by this years event. The website incorporates video clips (also produced by Freckle), online booking facilities and direct interaction with social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
