Corporate Brochure – Bentham Road NHS Health Centre – Blackburn

Job Description
This work was focused on the development of a practice brochure to be distributed to patients at Cornerstone’s newest health centre, Bentham Road in Blackburn, East Lancashire. Although the brochure is a requirement of all NHS practices, traditionally they are text heavy documents focused on details and statistics rather than the practices themselves. Cornerstone wanted to avoid this at all costs.
The resultant brochure, which was produced at a handy A5 size, included all the details required by the practice to meet regulations but with a more relaxed feel. Using images as focal points for each page, text was spaced evenly throughout the document (rather than tightly grouped together, as previously). Corporate colours were introduced as backgrounds to pages and headings, with large amounts of white space. This style allowed readers to find areas of specific interest quickly and easily. Using images of the staff and centre itself we introduced prospective patients to the ethos of Cornerstone, focusing prominently on the health centre’s friendly environment and expert level of care they provide.
The brochure was produced with a silk art finish and sits comfortably in the centre, complementing (rather than detracting from) other branded, promotional documents.
