Job Description
Based in the North East of England, Geomatic Solutions supply geodetic surveys, specialised software, training and consultancy services to corporations and governments internationally, with a particular focus on the petrochemicals industry.
To complement developments within the structure of Geomatic, Freckle were approached to assist with the design of a new logo and brand to enhance the global presence of the organisation, visually representing the work in which they are involved.
Geomatics involves the specific positioning of locations across the globe. Based on this our ideas for the brand were developed from geographical imagery. Using a global theme, incorporating contours, continental outlines and longitudinal/latitudinal lines our brand reflected the work of Geomatic. Enhanced by the use of the G of Geomatic as a specific reference point on the design, the importance of accuracy within the industry was shown. A number of earthy colour schemes were suggested with blue proving to be the most suitable for the promotional and informative documents required in the future.
