Website Design – Cragside Holiday Cottage – Lake District

Job Description
Having completed a brand design and promotional flyers for Cragside our next project involved the development of a website to promote the Keswick based self catering property. As the property is owned by Freckle director Ian, it was decided that it would be good to try and keep the site similar in theme to our own Freckle website in order to provide a link between both brands.
With this in mind the design progressed using a similar look and feel for the site navigation and layout but incorporating the colour schemes and styles previously developed for the cottage brand. Additional new features were added. These included updatable images for the cottage and local area sections, an updatable bookings calendar and a news section, providing local information and the latest offers and deals. These facilities would allow the site to be regularly and easily updated by the cottage’s Bookings Manager.
As with the Freckle site contacting Cragside was an essential feature for the site, with each page offering clear routes to the bookings section. To further aid promotion the site updates have been linked directly to the social networking site Twitter as well as to other cottage rental sites for The Lake District.
The completed website provides an attractive and easy to use guide for all potential visitors to Cragside.
What the Client Said
We couldn’t really ask for any more from the finished website. Not only does it provide a creative overview of the cottage, for our visitors but allows us to edit availability information, news and cottage images. This keeps the site as up to date as possible, which assists with potential bookings.
