Job Description
Having worked previously with B3SDA, Freckle were asked to assist with the latest project, promoting ways in which the Public and Third Sectors could work together to achieve shared goals.
Provided with images of the area and local people, we worked with the text, written by B3SDA and Bury Council, to create a series of brochures that presented information in a way that would be attractive to the target audience. As many of the articles involved large amounts of text it was important to mix them amongst bright images and coloured titles and headers. This style allowed readers to pick out the elements of the brochures that were most relevant to them quickly and easily, if required.
With a number of requirements regarding text size, colours and style, to make the brochure accessible and appropriate for all members of the community, the finished publication provided a clear and attractive introduction to how public and third sectors can work together. Within the design work we also considered web presentation. All the finished publications were provided in both print and web formats to enhance accessibility.
What the Client Said
B3SDA had already used Freckle for their own publicity and had asked them again to quote for the design and production of “Working Together – the Bury Compact”. Newly arrived with B3SDA I was asked to take over this project and it was easy to see why we were using them. In addition to the qualities one normally expects from a design company such as innovation and creativity, Freckle have been incredibly easy to work with. Nothing has been too much trouble, and they have owned the task equally with ourselves. What has been really good for me has been how easy it has been to keep in contact. Freckle are responsive to emails and phone calls and it been like having our own virtual design department we can call on as and when needed.
