Job Description
Bury Third Sector Development Agency (B3SDA) is a charity which seeks to support and develop community, voluntary and faith organisations, social enterprises, charities and cooperatives, in Bury and the surrounding area. They provide support and training for voluntary and community groups alongside a managed communication service which keeps 3rd sector organisations up to date with latest news and developments.
As a charity aimed at local community assistance, promotion of service is key. We were approached to assist with the design and development of a new promotional leaflet for the organisation.
With a logo and colour scheme already in place we were assigned the task of creating an up to date, attractive and informative publication which would enhance the promotion of the services offered by B3SDA. With a wide target audience the publication needed to be clear and concise but also attractive enough to catch the attention of interested parties. As the finished leaflets would be placed in locations such as waiting rooms and reception areas an eye catching, pictorial approach was key.
As the aim of the leaflet was to direct people to B3SDA we used images of signposts outlining the main areas of work in which the charity operates. Using the organisations colour schemes throughout the leaflet enabled the brand identity to be enhanced within the local community. Text remained large and headlines clear to make the leaflet suitable to all community residents. Leaflet copy was well spaced and clearly marked, to allow readers to focus on areas relevant to them. The colours used were crisp and clear on a white background to provide maximum impact.
